Happy 2nd Birthday to my little girl!!
Two years ago today, at this very moment, my husband and I were at Massachusetts General Hospital eagerly awaiting the birth of our daughter. I still remember all the thoughts, concerns and pain I was feeling at that moment. Despite the physical discomfort that comes with late pregnancy, I was a little saddened that I was not going to be pregnant much longer. At the same time, I wanted the whole process to be over with - the pain, the unknown outcome - and to finally meet my little one.
Two years later, I know the outcome and have forgotten the pain. Today, that little baby has grown up into a funny, sensitive, affectionate, fiercely independent toddler. She now speaks in full sentences; can count to 10; sings a mashed up version of "Twinkle twinkle little star"; dances to the Wiggles; and melts my heart every second of the day with just the thought of her.
Happy Birthday, my little girl! May you have as much joy and love in your life as you have brought into mine.
